 Landscape and Weather

New Zealand has some cold and mountainous landscapes. It has a humid and rainy climate. The temperature in New Zealand is different from here. When here it is winter there it is summer and vice versa. The average temperature of the whole year is 15 degrees Celsius. A curiosity about the type of landscape is that the saga of Lord of the Rings was filmed there.

Type of animals

Wild life in New Zealand is not very extensive but there are unique animals like the Kiwi, Opossum, the Spen Whole and the gannets but there are more.

The Kiwi: It’s like a bird but without wings, the kiwi is a national symbol of New Zealand.

Culture

Typical food-New Zealand has a notable British influence when it comes to their meals. We can’t forget, however, the typical Maori dishes.

Hangui: It’s a typical dish of Maori culture. It consists in putting meat or fish usually accompanied by Kumara(sweet potatoes) in baskets and they are cooked under the earth.

Haka: Haka is a traditional war dance or challenge from people of New Zealand; war haka were made before warriors started the battle. New Zealand sport teams practice Haka dance before they play international matches.
